How to win over Trump supporters and win the White House

By By Mike AllenOctober 19, 2019 12:01:29A new poll released by Quinnipiac University found that voters across the country have a more favorable view of President Donald Trump than any other candidate in history.

The poll, conducted Oct. 18-19, found that 57 percent of voters view Trump favorably, while 37 percent view him unfavorably.

A majority of voters (54 percent) also say they have a positive view of former Democratic President Barack Obama, while 29 percent view the president negatively.

The survey also found that Democrats are much more likely to be supportive of Trump than Republicans are.

Nearly two-thirds (65 percent) of Democrats view the President favorably, compared to 41 percent of Republicans.

A plurality (41 percent) said they had a positive impression of former Vice President Joe Biden, while 34 percent said they viewed him unfavourably.

“These numbers show the Trump era could be the most important of the modern era,” said Dan Schnur, assistant director of the Quinnipio Poll.

“Democrats in 2018 and 2020 had two great presidents, but the 2018 and 2016 campaigns were not the greatest in American politics.

Trump is a different type of politician.

He has a clear and consistent message that resonates with voters.

Voters will look back on 2018 and 2022 and say they made the right choice, and that Trump’s presidency is a failure.

Democrats need to show that they can make the case for a Trump-led Congress, and get them to the negotiating table.”

The Quinnipian survey was conducted by landline and cell phone among a national sample of 1,001 registered voters, including 1,000 Democrats and Republicans, on Oct. 17-19.

It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.
