Canadian company hits back at critics who say it doesn’t pay enough for healthcare

A Canadian company that is fighting for its right to advertise in the United States is hitting back at those who say the company doesn’t provide enough health care coverage.

The Globe and Mail reported that Suncor Life Sciences Corp. says it’s not enough to be covered by its preferred insurance plans.

It’s also not enough for coverage to be paid by employers.

But Suncor says that’s not a problem, as the company pays premiums to cover costs associated with its employees.

Suncor, which is based in Ottawa, says its employees and retirees are covered by insurance and have full access to coverage.

SunCorp also says it pays for some of the cost of doctors, labs, and drugs that its workers get through a company-sponsored plan.
