Why you need to get vaccinated before your wedding

If you are planning to have your wedding in Australia this year, you need a vaccine.

According to the Australian Vaccination Advisory Group (AVAG), Australia is currently one of only two countries where the public can obtain a vaccine on a temporary basis, and will be the first to do so in 2019.

“We believe that a rapid rollout of vaccines would ensure the greatest level of protection for the public, as well as the most effective vaccine for preventing disease,” said Dr Mark Wylie, head of vaccine policy and management at AVAG.

There are currently no plans for a return to a permanent vaccine rollout.

This means that if you want to get your wedding up and running in 2019, you will need to buy a vaccine immediately.

Dr Wylies advice: Buy the vaccine as soon as you can.

When you are ready to get the vaccine, contact your local Health Department.

The vaccine is also available for purchase through a number of private pharmacies and pharmacies are set to be rolled out across the state and territory.

Health Minister Peter Dutton said the vaccine was currently available for prescription at his department’s Pharmacy and Pharmacy Supplies (PPS) website.

He said the rollout would commence in the coming weeks.

Vaccination is available for everyone, regardless of age, gender or location, and is a vital part of ensuring your wedding is the best it can be.
